The Advertiser 13 March 1911 – Association and League Meet

ASSOCIATION AND LEAGUE MEET

The Football League and Association met in conference on Friday evening with reference to the proposed reduction of the number of clubs in the latter body. Last year the league expressed the opinion that the association should have only the same number of clubs as they had – seven, and it was then practically decided that Prospect and Semaphore Central should be the clubs sacrificed. The association now desires the league to reverse its decision, and it is understood that as the result of the conference the league leaves the matter in the hands of the association, to be decided at a meeting to be held on Thursday evening.
