The Advertiser 28 March 1911 – Amalgamation of Two Clubs

The annual meeting of the Portland Imperial, which was adjourned on Friday evening last in order to invite the Semaphore Central club to be present with a view to amalgamation, was continued on Monday evening at the Globe Hotel, Port Adelaide. There was a large attendance, Mr F Ward presiding. After a little discussion, it was decided that the two clubs should become united under the name of Port Adelaide II. The meeting also decided that the Port Adelaide senior football be asked to place two of their committee on the committee of the junior club.
